Terms of Service

The rules for using Wicker, written to be read. If anything here is unclear, email us at support@usewicker.com and we’ll explain it plainly.

Last updated: 6 August 2026

1. What Wicker is

Wicker is a mobile app for finding your way around your city. You can follow people and post to a feed, message and call the people you follow, browse a map of places and events near you, book appointments and arrange deliveries with businesses listed in the app, and list a business of your own. Wicker is free to download and free to use.

Businesses, sellers, and event organisers on Wicker are independent of us. We provide the app they are listed in; they are responsible for what they offer and for what they tell you about it.

2. Who can use Wicker

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must give accurate account information — a real name or handle and a working phone number or email address.
  • One person, one account. Don’t impersonate anyone, and don’t run an account on behalf of someone who has been suspended.

3. Your account

Keep your login details to yourself and tell us straight away if you think someone else has got into your account. You’re responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete it at any time from the app, or by emailing us.

4. Your content stays yours

Posts, photos, videos, reviews, and listings you upload remain yours. By posting them you give Wicker permission to store and display that content inside the app so other users can see it — nothing more. Delete a post and we stop showing it; copies may remain in backups for a short period before they age out.

Only post content you have the right to post. If you believe something on Wicker infringes your rights, email support@usewicker.com and we’ll look at it.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use Wicker to:

  • do anything illegal under the laws of Ghana;
  • harass, threaten, bully, or stalk anyone;
  • post hate speech, sexual content involving minors, or graphic violence;
  • impersonate a person or a business, or claim a listing that isn’t yours;
  • post spam, scams, fake reviews, or deliberately misleading listings;
  • scrape, reverse-engineer, or hammer the service with automated traffic.

We may remove content, and refuse, suspend, or close any account, where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. We may report unlawful activity to the relevant authorities.

6. Business listings

Anyone can add a place to the map, and the business it belongs to can claim it. If you claim or manage a listing, keep it accurate — your name, location, opening hours, and what you actually offer. We may edit or remove listings that are inaccurate, duplicated, or abandoned, and we may ask you to prove you’re entitled to a listing before we hand it over.

7. Bookings and deliveries

When you book an appointment or arrange a delivery with a business you found on Wicker, your agreement is with that business — not with us. They set their own terms, cancellation rules, and timings, and they are responsible for honouring them. If something goes wrong, contact the business first. If they don’t put it right, tell us: we can’t force an outcome, but we can remove listings and suspend accounts that repeatedly let people down.

8. Messages and calls

Wicker includes direct messaging and voice/video calling. Use them for what they’re for. We may suspend accounts used to harass others or to send unsolicited bulk messages.

9. Availability

Wicker is provided “as is.” We work hard to keep it reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability, and features may change, move, or be withdrawn as the app develops.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using Wicker at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or where required by law. Where we reasonably can, we’ll tell you why.

11. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Ghanaian law, Wicker is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for content posted by other users, or for the acts and omissions of the independent businesses listed in the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll post the updated version here and update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ghana.
